The Friends of LaFollette Park is a non-profit, volunteer neighborhood organization committed to the preservation and promotion of LaFollette Park.
As a reaction to increased vandalism in LaFollette Park, a group of concerned area citizens formed the Friends of LaFollette Park in the spring of 2008. Since that time, the group has sponsored many events including National Night Out, Music in the Park and Movie Night at the Park. In addition, the group has improved park amenities including planting flowers, repairing and painting buildings, fences and picnic tables and organizing Park Clean-up Days.
The Friends group meets the first Monday of every month year-round. Meetings begin at 7:00 p.m. and are held at the LaFollette Park pavilion. Meetings are often attended by a representative from the Milwaukee County Parks Department.
The Friends group welcomes new members who live around the LaFollette Park area! If you're interested in becoming a member or have a suggestion to improve the park, visit the Contact Us page.
